Operating out of the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort - Marina Cove in St. Petersburg, Florida, INTERNATIONAL SAILING SCHOOL (ISS) continues the tradition of providing you with a foundation of excellence for your sailing future. A family owned and operated small business dedicated to fulfilling your sailing dreams since 1981, we offer you personalized attention, while our scenic waterfront location offers you ideal instructional sailing in the warm protected waters of Tampa Bay, as well as convenient Gulf access for extended coastal cruising and chartering adventures limited only by your imagination.
Whether you are just starting out or are an “old salt” we have a program to meet your needs, including a full range of American Sailing Association (ASA) Certification Courses from Basic Keelboat 101 through Advanced Coastal Cruising 106. We also offer a 4 hour Introduction to Sailing, customized Private Lessons, Women’s and Couple’s Cruise & Learn packages, Sail & Learn non-certification sail training program, half / full day / Sunset Cruises, and Bareboat or Captained Charters by the half or full day or week.

We’re easy to get to with three major airports nearby, including Tampa International, Clearwater/St. Petersburg & Sarasota/Bradenton. The resort hotel on-site offers a sandy beach, 2 pools, tennis courts, restaurants and a Tiki Bar if you are daysailing with us. If you are taking a liveaboard course, you get to enjoy beautiful Gulf sunsets from the deck of your very own yacht. Our combination week long “Learn to Sail” vacation courses are a great way to experience the exciting world of sailing in a fun, professional, and safe environment taught by friendly, experienced ASA Certified Instructors and USCG Licensed Captains at your pace and on your schedule.
